Crane's Gold Race rockers reduce operating friction so well, they can give you up to 25 extra horsepower over your stock pivot ball rockers. Just look at what Crane puts into them:
- CNC-machined castings from super-strong extruded billet aluminum for total strength and reliability
- Precision needle-bearing fulcrums to reduce friction
- 8620 steel alloy roller tips for reliable, easy valve operation
- Special oil inlets to the bearings and roller to ensure reliability under operation
- Slotted bodies for extra stud clearance
- 4140 chromemoly Allen head adjustment nuts
- Kit includes rocker arms, guideplates, pushrods, and rocker arm studs.
- 1.8:1 Ratio
This kit contains the components necessary to convert the
Chevrolet LS1 type cylinder heads (also Vortec 4800, 5300, 6000)
from a stock "net lash" valve train configuration, to permit the
installation of adjustable stud-mounted rocker arms.
CAUTION: These rocker arms will increase valve lift over stock. Piston to valve clearance, pushrod to head clearance, valve spring
coil bind, and retainer to guide clearance will also be affected. You
must check all of these for adequate clearance, such as: .060” minimum
before valve spring coil bind; .120” minimum piston to valve
clearance. Contact Crane for valve spring and retainer kits that
accept higher valve lifts. |
