With Comp Cams Pro Magnum Self-Aligning Roller Rockers, you get the best of both worlds: Steel for strength and Aluminum for light weight and low cost. These rockers are made from 8650 chromemoly steel. This material alone is three times stronger then 7075-T6 aluminum which is used for most aluminum rocker arms. Pro Magnum rockers have 5% less weight at the valve than most aluminum rockers. This means more RPM and valve train stability. The unique design of this rocker enables them to use a larger trunion with more needle bearings, resulting is a more even load and longer life. Other features include an integral pushrod seat that insures accuracy and saves weight, a unique rocker design also provides plenty of clearance for most high performance valve springs.
These rockers are ideally suited for serious street, bracket racing, super classes, and circle track racing. You won't find a better street rocker for the price!
These rockers are so strong that Comp Cams will guarantee the body of the rocker for life against breakage!

Application:88-92 V8 305-350
Note:Self-aligning rockers are designed as a drop in replacement. If you are planning to run a very large camshaft or very big springs, you may be better off converting to a non self-aligning valvetrain utilizing 7/16" rocker arm studs. The 7/16" stud will allow less flex in the valvetrain than the 3/8" stud, which will allow you to obtain maximum performance from your camshaft. This becomes more important as you put a larger cam in the engine. The use of guideplates is also a more fail-safe method of valvetrain alignment as compared to self-aligning rockers. Stock valve covers will require minor modification with this setup. The use of guideplates requires the use of hardened pushrods. |
